Dear Therapists,
Following regulatory changes in the insurance industry, from 30-Jun-2022 Physiobase (Physiosure & Therapysure) is no longer able to offer insurance cover on behalf of the Insurer (IAG trading as CGU Insurance) and regret that we will be unable to offer renewal of your policy on the date noted above and you will have to make alternative arrangements to ensure ongoing coverage.
Should you wish to engage the services of an Insurance Broker to arrange alternative Professional Indemnity and Public and Products Liability coverage, please refer to the following resources:
National Insurance Brokers Association of Australia
https://www.niba.com.au/html/right-broker.cfm
or their broker search website
http://www.needabroker.com.au
Physiobase will continue to manage your existing policy until renewal date so please feel free to contact Customer Support.
We would like to remind existing policy holders that your policy is written on what is referred to as on a ‘claims made and notified’ basis which means that you must advise the Insurer of any facts that you have become aware of during the policy period that might give rise to a claim being made against you, before expiry of the policy. Failure to advise the Insurer of any such facts may result in indemnity not being available for any subsequent claims made against you, hence for your protection, we strongly urge you to notify the Insurer of such facts prior to policy expiry. If you need to notify a claim, please contact Customer Support or call us on (0)2 8399 3744.
On behalf of Physiobase, thank you for your support over the past 20 years.
